I Really LOVE Loved being on KEVIN KOVARIK’s- AN ECLECTIC MESS – Radio Show Monday Morning, March 23rd!!! . It Was One Of My Favorite Radio Appearances Ever So Far!!! I did a remembrance of my Mom – CARMEL LAMONT who traveled into eternity recently. The Alternative began on New Year’s Day in 1995, and quickly became one of the most popular events on the city’s poetry and literary scene. It was originally conceived and organized by founder Bruce Weber, who kept the event running at various lower Manhattan venues for many years. For the 2020 event and since, Bruce passed the baton to Pete Dolack, who now serves as the event’s coordinator, ably assisted by a staff of writers, designers and curators. The Alternative, which continues to be free to the public, features poets, prose writers, monologists, musicians, dancers and other performers in an eight-hour showcase that ranges from some of New York’s most seasoned talents to emerging stars. More than 150 performers are scheduled every year.
